London and The Summer 2012 Olympics

The London Live celebration will enable hundreds of thousands of people without tickets to the Games to view them en masse in public viewing areas in London. Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square will all host free sports screenings and cultural events to coincide with the Olympics and to complement the ongoing London 2012 Festival.

At a press conference in the BT Tower today, Boris Johnson confirmed that the latest headline act to perform in Hyde Park will be Tom Jones, who will appear on July 28. Other acts scheduled to appear across the three sites include Feeder, Dodgy, The Levellers and the cast of the musical We Will Rock You.
